Earl's Court, London: 20 February 2008.What a night for fans of British music. Dozens of top artists filed past on the red carpet outside Earls Court on yet another freezing day. Quite a challenge for fans too. There were few good shooting positions and plenty of competition for them. Some of my regular fan-mates couldn't run fast enough to get a good spot when the gates opened. It was bedlam. One girl fell in front of me and it seemed unseemly to step over her and my prime place was gone. Fortunately security made sure unaccredited media were chucked out, leaving me with an OK spot on the barricade. Things have a habit of working themselves out. Lots of kids and their parents in the crowd that all added to the atmosphere -- it's half term btw. Plenty screaming from them, it seems they love all the stars and aren't self conscious about saying it loud. Listen to the sound if you need confirmation. Seemed odd to hear primary school kids discussing rehab, and not the song! Plenty of opportunity for the autograph folk, though many of the biggest names snuck in around the back to avoid the hubbub.Celebs and artists spotted...Matt WillisKyser ChiefsAdeleBeth DittoOne Night OnlyLeona LewisWill YoungNancy and Vic ReevesMikaMark RonsonRihannaShane WardThe HoossiersBen MillerAlan CarrLamarDavina McCallSean LennonK T TunstallArtic MonkeysCatherine JenkinsOzzy, Sharon OsbourneKate NashAlesha DixonKelly RowlandKimberley WalshSarah HardingJames BluntTess DalyVernon KayTake ThatAs usual, please let me know about errors, omissions and your comments. Morphidae Jones by ricky terry of ejector. the video features many of his friends as well as his partner Big Red. He has done music for some independent short films (one credited on IMDB) as well as his own electronic dance tracks. His first works in the bay area were for adult films, some of his adult work is credited as rub. Currently he's working on his own electronic music while looking for a producer/record label and possibly collaborations with local musicians. He played Martin Gore's roll in a Depeche Mode cover band Black Market back in 1988-89 ( he's a huge Depeche Mode fan) After leaving Black Market he joined a band called Drury Lane, until they split up in 1996. Now, five years after moving to San Francisco, he's found new inspiration living and working on music again. He's now part of the san francisco band ejector.

09/18/2007 New York World Festival - Sounds of the Mediterranean - Central Park SummerStage http://www.summerstage.org/Orchestre de Tanger - The Orchestra of Tangier, is under the direction of Ahmed Zaitouni, the 76-year-old founder of the Conservatory of Tangier who is widely considered to be the last living legend of Moroccan Andalusian music. Zaitouni studied with many great masters of Andalusian music, including the revered Sheikh Moulay Ahmed Ouazzane. The orchestra, comprised of graduates of the Conservatory of Tangier, features virtuoso musicians on rebab (fiddle), oud (lute), violin, viola, tar (tambourine), darbouka (goblet drum) and vocals, along with guest artist Abderrahim Souiri, one of the most popular Andalusian vocalists in Morocco. Since its formation in 1981, the orchestra has performed at many prestigious music festivals and events in the Middle East and Europe and received international recognition for its recordings of traditional Andalusian music. Its performances feature excerpts from the classical nuba repertoire - vocal and instrumental suites which evolved over 1,000 years ago in Cordoba, Spain (which was ruled by the Moors) and are credited to the Baghdad musician Zyriab.

A short documentary we've done during our study on HAW Hamburg. We tried to make an insight into a street musician's life in Hamburg through two of them - Ilhan Sen and Andrew Marzi. It is really astonishing how many musicians playing various instruments one can meet there even in the wintertime. End each one has a story to tell...Heidi and Mari provided the source material, I have done the whole cut and editing job. Enjoy.

I know it took forever (nearly two months to be exact) but we finally received the video for the ASCAP Awards!! As previously posted, I covered the red carpet at The 20th Anniversary ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards with a film crew! I had an opportunity to meet and interview Mary J. Blige who was honored with the "Voice of Music Award," the super duper orgasmic Tank, the beautiful Letoya Luckett, Gabriel "Wonder" Arillo, Erica Campbell of Mary Mary, Young Berg, my new best friend Drew Sidora and the splendiferous Keri Hilson. Love muffins please keep in mind that I had no cue cards, it was a last minute thing and everything was very spontaneous! I did the best I could under the circumstances! Check it out and tell me what you think!
