If you'd like a copy of this vid in full quality you can download it from "the org". Those of you who go to that site know what I'm talking about. (I prefer not to give out the URL cause it draws attention to the site and I'd like to avoid any more music companies coming down on AMVs) If you don't have an account there feel free to PM me and I'll give you a link to the local download. There's a lipsynch-free version also on my account. If the lipsynch bugs you at all please check out the other one. ^_^This vid drove me insane. That said. THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!! ^_^/I had to cut the song down to 3:37--but I'm happy with the end result. Concept: I wanted a vid to make people happy and to tell them to never give up. I also used it to pimp a few series that I love but aren't among the "popular" series list. Especially Shakugan No Shana (The clips with the girl with red hair, although it's brown in her disguise). Shana is one of the best series I've seen in a while. The action is fantastic and the main fighter is a girl! Not only that, but she is a great sword user and she DOESN'T have gigantic boobs!!!This vid is the first to use my new studio bumper. I decided I needed something more serious and grownup. Please tell me what you think. ;) I hope you guys enjoy this vid. And please review. Even if the review is short, it still makes me happy.Omg! I got an honor! My first one. Japan's fascination with figure skating has amazed me for some time. In my blog I once mentioned their enthusiasm for Flamenco. Iceskating is another national pride they have been investing in. Prominent athletes have been enjoying a high social status. Surely, advertisements seem to go well with these national heroes and heroines.Tokyo is now hosting the World Iceskating Championship. Thousands of people flock to the indoor ice stadium to watch several young skaters from some four season countries. Teens would throw roses and Teddy Bears after each perfomance. The whole country is suddenly warmer in the remaining wintry season as each skater slides on the thick ice layer accompanied by the best of world musical compositions.Takahashi Daisuke is one of Japan's treasures. Dubbed as the Prince of Japan, he won the silver medal two days ago (March 24)in the prestigious event. Like a true Samurai, he pushed his rank up from fifth to second next to a French skater (You can see in the clip the audience cyring as Takahashi, now emotional himself, finished his memorable perfomance). With the standing ovation and the cry subarashii (great!), he is the first Japanese male ever to have won such a distinction.Using my cell phone, I recorded his live performance from our TV!Post Script*The shouts in the background came from my wife*Thanks to Susan, my friend from Indonesia, who for a while was my consultant in YouTube stuff.

Go to http://www.panonthenet.com/classics/pan_rebels.htm for the full performance of this selection - "In My House" - as arranged by Len 'Boogsie' Sharpe. In the late 80's a group of young, innovative, progressive, talented and rebellious steelpan musicians known as Pan Rebels left their mark on New York pan as no other has. In many respects Pan Rebels' birth signalled the dawning of the new and current age in the New York pan music continuum. Pan In New York was going to become primarily a youth movement. New ideas, interest and people would become critical components of the New York pan scene. And Pan Rebels was always at the forefront - trying new things although they are not always the ones who received the credit when it became popular. It is not surprising that Pan Rebels started the now-famous New York J'Ouvert celebrations.Simultaneously, a young group of New York electrical and broadcasting engineers known as Basement Recordings were also experimenting and working closely with Yamaha Corporation of America - who recognized their brilliance immediately - to fine tune its digital recording technology. Yamaha provided Basement Recordings with one of it's then-unreleased 24-bit digital recorders to test and make recommendations. The unit was then known as the DMR8 which would become the corner stone on which all future Yamaha digital recordings technology would be based. As faith or luck would have it, many of the engineers at Basement Recordings were also pan musicians. Even before the introduction of the DMR8, Basement Recordings was light years ahead of any other group or production team in terms of producing quality steelband recordings. Since the mid-80's they had already developed a technique they label as the 'box and one' specifically for the steel orchestra. It received rave reviews and write ups in many of the broadcasting and professional audio journals. Now armed with this digital recording goliath - that was in many ways way ahead of its time - Basement now had the tools to capture the full dynamic range of the steel orchestra without compromise. Moreover they were committed to producing outstanding recordings that could stand next to any great music productions regardless of genre - and showcase the greatness of the 'Boogsies' and 'Bradleys,' with any of their contemporaries. In Pan Rebels - Basement Recordings found kindred sprits - young musicians who were not tied to conventionality - furthermore they were not afraid of the presence of technology. Add the great Len "Boogsie" Sharpe, the ultimate unconventional arranger and what you got was magic. Basement Recordings always looked forward to recording Pan Rebels steel orchestra. They were young people; they understood the power and importance of recording and immortalizing their music works/material. As a matter of fact the band's management viewed Basement's recording them as a critical part of their panorama season. World-renowned arranger Len 'Boogsie' Sharpe was perfect as he supported, encouraged and understood what Basement and Pan Rebels were undertaking. Interestingly enough Basement's and Len 'Boogsie' Sharpe's paths would cross many times in other professional arenas in the future - of particular note would be their coming together with legendary master drummer Max Roach on future recording projects. The Pan Rebels - Basement Recordings collaborations produced many recording gems that featured prominent arrangers like Garvin Blake and Pelham Goddard in addition to Len 'Boogsie' Sharpe. Even though the orchestra has been inactive since 2002 - with their musical works and contributions to the New York Steelband music scene, while spearheaded by the dynamic trio of Anthony 'Pra' Trebuse, Gary Rogers and Michelle Williams - Pan Rebels remains a New York steelband fixture.

Song featured in Sami Yusuf's "My Ummah" album, done with english text of the lyrics.I made this after watching Sami Yusuf and Isam on a concert together performing this song. They pointed out that this song speaks of any troubled children in the world, even if some lyrics explicitly point to the Palestinian struggle. All of the videos on this song that I saw on YouTube represent that particular struggle only. I'd like to return to the concept of the creators of the music, and try to incorporate all of the world's children's suffering-- this is my attempt at it.Please rate it and tell me what you think-- constructive criticism is highly preferred over blind offense, and appreciation is always welcomed. If you want to help, give your time or your earnings to causes you believe in. It's not how much you give, it's that you give. This is my preference charity outlet that I trust, but you can choose your own:www.islamic-relief.com (International)www.irw.org (USA) - recipient of Four Star Charity by Charity NavigatorCorcerning Music and Islam:After searching the quran and found empty on any banning of music, I turn to Hadeeth:Hadeeth Shahih Muslim (excerpts from www.quran.net)Muhammad, peace be upon him allows the enjoyment of singing and musical instruments. Hence, music is not haram.Book 004, Number 1942: " 'A'isha reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) came (in my apartment) while there were two girls with me singing the song of the Battle of Bu'ath. He lay down on the bed and turned away his face. Then came Abu Bakr and he scolded me and said: Oh! this musical instrument of the devil in the house of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him)! The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) turned towards him and said: Leave them alone. And when he (the Holy Prophet) became unattentive, I hinted them and they went out, and it was the day of 'Id and negroes were playing with shields and speare. (I do not remember) whether I asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) or whether he said to me if I desired to see (that sport). I said: Yes. I stood behind him with his face parallel to my face, and he said: O Banu Arfada, be busy (in your sports) till I was satiated. He said (to me): Is that enough? I said: Yes. Upon this he asked me to go."Song/Music are just tools, like talking, that can deliver both good and evil. Talking can do a lot of harm (backbiting, gossiping), but Talking in general isn't haram - only backbiting and gossiping is haram. Music does the same, so why some people want to claim it Haram, when it is only a tool to perform good or evil. Listening to good music is like listening to talks of good and beauty of the creation of Allah, and listening to raunchy music is like listening to gossip. So claim haram to only those music that are lustful and profane, but not all music - especially good music.Book 033, Number 6422: "Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying. Allah fixed the very portion of adultery which a man will indulge in. There would be no escape from it. The adultery of the eye is the lustful look and the adultery of the ears is listening to voluptuous (song or talk) and the adultery of the tongue is licentious speech and the adultery of the hand is the lustful grip (embrace) and the adultery of the feet is to walk (to the place) where he intends to commit adultery and the heart yearns and desires which he may or may not put into effect."King Abdullah claim title "Guardian of two Holy Cities" website reference:"On the death of King Fahd on 1st August, 2005, the title of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was assumed by King Fahd's successor, King Abdullah." --- is from Ministry of Hajj, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia website:http://www.hajinformation.com/main/d10.htmanother reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Custodian_of_the_Two_Holy_Mosques

The Twinwoods Mechanical Organ Festival is a weekend event held at the historic Twinwoods Airfield near Bedford (UK), also home of the Glenn Miller Museum. Organised by Bob West, the Twinwoods Arena comes alive to the sound of street and fairground organs during the festival, which also features crafts and other exhibits, and marks the closure of events at Twinwoods for the winter. For the 2007 show, the third year of this wonderful event, the Saturday night entertainment amongst this small and friendly gathering of enthusiasts comprised some informal performances of mechanical self-playing street organs and an impromptue accordion band inside the main hangar. After this, those of us still awake retired to the Officers' Mess Bar to continue the fun! This video shows some of the completely unrehursed session with Bob West on his street organ with myself and Andrew Smith playing along on our piano accordions, accompanied with percussion from James Dundon and Alan Roberts.Photos from the festival, together with lots of information regarding mechanical organs in general can be found on the independent Mechanical Organ Discussion Forum, a free to join internet forum for Street, Fairground and Dance Organ enthusiasts worldwide... http://www.fairgroundorgan.com/forum (specific topic here: http://organ.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?p=5339)More videos from this superb event are on my channel, and don't forget next year's organ festival on 11th and 12th October 2008.

On Death Anniversary of Nisar Bazmi. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaNisar Bazmi Birth name Syed Nisar Ahmed Born 1 January 1924(1924-01-01) Origin Pakistani Died 22 March 2007 (aged 83) Genre(s) Contemporary instrumental Occupation(s) Composer & music director Years active 1944--2007 Nisar Bazmi (1924 -- March 22, 2007) was a respected music composer of the Sub-continent from Pakistan. Nisar Bazmi was responsible for introducing Alamgir to film music in Pakistan and the famous duo of Laxmikant-Piyarelal were musicians with him before the partition of South Asia. He was born in 1924 in Khandesh, Naseerabad, India . His father was Syed Qudrat Ali. He had no musical background. Nisar Bazmi's musical interest impressed the prominent Indian musician of Bombay, Khan Saheb Aman Ali Khan who taught him music. Equipped with artistic talent, young Nisar Bazmi, who was just 13 at the time, quickly mastered the various ragas, the musical instruments and took all music lessons to heart. In 1939, the All India Radio (A.I.R) hired him as an artist, which later proved to be a stepping stone for his future aspirations. The magic moment came in the year 1944 when he composed some songs for a drama, Nadir Shah Durrani, which was broadcast from the Bombay Radio Station. All the songs of this drama were hits. A new Indian film producer at that time was moved by Nisar Bazmi's composition and asked him to compose music for his film Jamna Par. After that he enjoyed a successful career in India, composing music for almost 40 flims, with 14 films released after he migrated to Pakistan on June 21, 1962. Once permanently settled in Pakistan, he resumed his music career by simultaneously composing songs for two movies. Director Raza Mir's movie Lakhoan Mein Aik's mega hit songs extol the virtues of Nisar's top rated composition.During his musical career in Pakistan he composed many hit songs for Runa Laila, Ahmed Rushdi, Noor Jehan and Mehdi Hassan. Frederick Hohman plays Tu es Petra (Thou Art the Rock) from the Byzantine Sketches of Henri Mulet upon the Great Organ of Methuen Memorial Music Hall, in Methuen Massachusetts USA. This is an excerpt from a concert given on 29 September 1996. The complete 30-minute program is one episode from the Midnight Pipes tv series. The DVD product of this is item # MP 9021 DVD, and may be acquired from many sources, including http://www.zarex.com/bin .Frederick Hohman also has a CD from Methuen on the PRO ORGANO label, entitled "Forever Methuen." Details may be accessed by entering "7066" in the Search Box at http://www.zarex.com/bin .Methuen Memorial Music Hall is operated and maintained by a not-for-profit corporation. Music events occur at the hall year-round, but especially well-known are the summer series of Organ Concerts on Wednesday evenings. This video is from one of the rarer, Sunday afternoon organ concerts. There is a history and an interesting story behind the organ at Methuen. Originally a Walcker organ from Germany from the mid-19th-century, it was first installed as the organ at Boston Music Hall, and it was the first concert hall organ in the United States. In the early 20th-century this hall was constructed in what was then a rural suburb of Boston, and the organ was relocated and housed at Methuen Memorial Music Hall ever since. The organ was updated and enlarged by Aeolian-Skinner, and in recent years, additional updates and fine maintenance make it function today as a fully modern concert pipe organ. As you will see from the video, the organ at Methuen has one of the most impressive organ cases in the world, and the decorative appointments of the hall interior are noteworthy. For more details on the organ and hall, contact: http://www.mmmh.org .Frederick Hohman is returning to Methuen in September, 2008 to play another organ concert. Hohman's website is: http://www.frederickhohman.net

Incredible video of the Late Great Hank Williams and His Son Bocephus (Hank Jr) A few years ago Hank was given this song in his Dad's folders, a song that was still in a demo stage. Hank liked it and mixed alittle of his style with his Dads and helped in producing this magical, award winning video!!!According to Wikpedia:"There's a Tear in My Beer", a duet with his father created using electronic dubbing techniques. The song itself was written by his father, presumably, sometime between 1950 and 1953 and was recorded with Hank Williams playing just his guitar. The music video for the song combined existing television footage of Hank Williams performing and the dubbing techniques transferred the image of Hank Jr. onto the screen, so it appeared as if he were actually playing with his father. The video was an overwhelming success, both critically and commercially. It was named Video Of The Year by both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country music. Hank Williams, Jr. would go on to win a Grammy award in 1990 for Best Country Vocal Collaboration.___________________Thanks go to ritchey65 for the following info:Hank Sr. recorded this song as a demo on an acetate disc for country performer Big Bill Lister and gave it to him around 1950. It lay forgotten and unknown until Lister's son found it in 1988.He gave it to Hank Jr, who recorded his own version and mixed it with the Hank Sr. version. The Lyrics, Video, Audio, are the property of the respective authors, artists and labels, the video provided for educational and Artist promotional purposes only , If you like the song, please help support Elvis Presley's music by purchasing his CD's wherever they are legally for sale..Rhodescabbin claims no ownership rights to this Video/Audio. http://cdbaby.com/cd/vanarmenyaGOMIDAS VARTABED - KOMITAS (1869- 1935)One of the most renowned Armenian Churchmen and musician of modern times was Gomidas Vartabed, also known as Komitas. He was born Soghomon Soghomonian in Kutaha, Asia Minor in the year, 1869. His life had an interesting turn of events, when at the age of eleven, he was orphaned, and at a young age he was sent to a Seminary in Etchmiadzin to study. Because of his singing prowess, he decided to teach music at the Seminary after he completed his studies. In 1896, Soghomon was ordained a monk or "apegha" of the Armenian Church. A few years later he was ordained a "Vartabed", and as is the practice in the Armenian Church assumed his new name "Komitas"(or Gomidas).Komitas learned a great deal of music from the monks and continued to study music with the famous composer Kara-Mourza, which eventually led Komitas into both secular and religious music. Komitas continued to study music, and in 1896, he was awarded a doctorate degree in musicology. He later returned to Etchmiadzin as a choir director, and Instructor of music at the Seminary.Komitas wrote over three thousand songs in Armenian, Arabic, Kurdish, and Persian, and also contributed significantly to the modern Armenian Badarak. His main contribution was to rediscover Armenian folk music. He spent years traveling throughout the provinces and visiting many villages listening to native songs and dances, and making notes of them for further analysis. His work in arranging and collating the folk music he had collected over the years eventually became excellent songs for chorus music, and made the public aware of the existence of true Armenian music. In addition to the folk music, Komitas arranged the entire music of the Divine Liturgy (Badarak) of the Armenian Church, for male voices. The internationally known priest was the first non-European to be a member of the International Music Society. Komitas performed concerts in Paris, Geneva, Berne, Constantinople, Venice, and Alexandria. It is interesting to note that in the spring of 1915, during the imprisonment of leaders of the Armenian community, Komitas too was taken into custody. Through the efforts of Henry Morgenthau, Ambassador from the United States of America, and the Turkish poet Mehmet Emin Yurdakul, who admired Komitas' work, Komitas was released. After the April 24, 1915 massacres of the Armenian people by the Turks, he succumbed to mental and physical anguish and never fully recovered. Komitas lived as if a walking corpse for the next twenty years. The revered holy man died in Paris on October 22, 1935 in a mental hospital. One year after his death his ashes were transferred to Yerevan and interred in the Yerevan Panthenon. In the 1950's his manuscripts were transported from Paris to Yerevan where they were being studied and published
