Assistance is also provided to students with music related expenses through grants, fundraisers and silent auctions that aid in developing, displaying and nurturing young artistic talents. The Punch Family Foundation is an organization that seeks to open a window of opportunity for under-represented children through music and music education. "We want to put an instrument in a child's life, teach, train and prepare them for an advance music education", offering an orchestra experience that nurtures music students. She also knew she could gain support from her mentor Mary Griffin and from the Punch Family Foundation (PFF).Stamos Martin, like Georgiana, was a Booker T. Washington high school student, and while he was excited about his acceptance to the Aspen Music Festival, he knew the $7,000 price tag would be a major hurdle. He called upon a small support team that included Gayle Punch of the Punch Family Foundation.Georgiana is now a sophomore student at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and aspires to attend the Harlaxton Music Festival (HMF) in Harlaxton, England. The $4,000 tuition does not include an additional $800 for airfare. On her own, Georgiana has managed to save $1,000 towards this trip. Unfortunately, the HMF offers no scholarships. Georgiana, a violist, is a sophomore music business major and former student of the Young Strings Program of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.Stamos and Georgiana each received $1,000 scholarships from the PFF to help with their music education -- scholarships they both attest have made all the difference in their access and entry to these institutions. The experience of having a musician pursue a goal of being in a symphony orchestra taught PFF founder, Gayle Punch, many lessons. The greatest was the importance of giving back. In 2006, the Foundation was able to give a $1,000 to Byron Martin who now studies the viola and music composition at an Oklahoma College. This year's challenge is to raise funds to assist music students like Stamos and Georgiana reach their potential. While most music programs offer scholarships, there are often additional costs which are not covered. These additional costs are often the prime roadblocks to economically limited minority students."It's important to help as many music students as possible if we are to see diversity in the orchestral programs across America," says Richmond Punch. Richmond is a violist and violinist who donates proceeds from all CD sales to the foundation (these can be purchased at the foundation website). He also donates his services to the annual benefit recital.Contact: richmond@richmondpunch.comAlso read the event I created with the location info and more specifics. Thanks!!

Here's another music video I produced for the superb 'Back in Time Live' retro events. This video features footage from various Commodore 64 games including classics like Koronis Rift (I love the animation of the robot!), Bounder, Parallax, Salamander, Giana Sisters and many more. The video is backed by a superb remix of Martin Galway's Ocean Loading Theme (remixed by Sonic Wanderer). This video is also available on the Back in Time Live Showreel DVD (with much better picture quality) - http://www.binaryzone.org/ (it's in the retro DVD section!)

Elvis Presley, sings If I can dream, a song with a dream of hope. This song has powerful lyrics and Raw Emotion Vocals that are awe inspiring!!!Elvis is still The King Of Rock N Roll 30 years after his death!!! Elvis will always be the King. From the very moment I heard on that hot August day in 1977 that Elvis was dead I have had an idea in my head to pay tribute to his many achievements.Elvis was so much more that a singer, he was a living Legend.Elvis: He dreamed, and he achieved!!! Sun Studios, Memphis 1954,Elvis Presley n Johnny Cash meet in this small studio at the same time, and Both become Legends!!!Elvis Presley is the primary focus, yet I had to include Johnny as I find it amazing that these two showed up at the same place, same time...Johnny overcame his addictions,BUT as he pointed out many times, only the love of June Carter Cash and her determination to see him thru, saved him from drugs. I wish Elvis could have had the same Rock in his life. One friend said something that was food for thought-Could you ever imagine an old Elvis??? I know Elvis thought of it a lot and the drugs were clouding his judgment. Its always hard to watch his last concert knowing his heart was agonized over the Memphis Mafia writing that horrible book about him, and seeing his failing health.RIP Elvis!!!The Lyrics, Video, Audio, are the property of the respective authors, artists and labels, the video provided for educational and Artist promotional purposes only , If you like the song, please help support Elvis Presley's music by purchasing his CD's wherever they are legally for sale..Rhodescabbin claims no ownership rights to this Video/Audio.
