Visitors who plan to attend the Rainforest World Music Festival 2007 at the Sarawak Cultural Village in Kuching this year can rest assure that they are in safe hands.According to Sarawak Tourism Board's CEO, Gracie Geikie, security has been beefed up in numbers of personnel and also with the addition of drugs detecting police dogs. Such measurements are only to ensure that patrons can truly enjoy the night with no worries with regards to security at the event.This is also done in lieu with the increase in numbers of visitors this year, which is targeted at 24,000 people."We had such a great response from music lovers, loyal fans to the event and also people who have heard about the event through friends. Sales of online tickets were great. In fact for Saturday, all of the tickets are sold out," explained Geikie.Those going for the show can expect a big turn out and also amazing performances by 20 bands from all around the world, most of which are second timers of third timers to the Rainforest World Music Festival."The aim of the festival has always been and will always be the preservation and conservation of ethnic music and traditional musical instruments.As we went along the event also became an instrument to promote peace through rich culture and heritage. We are happy that the festival has grown bigger through the years. For next year, we plan to bring RWMF to another level, not in term of quantity but by adding fringe events," she said.Some of the events in discussion are tribal arts workshop and tribal arts forum. Thought I would upload a little more footage from The Movie Waterloo concerning The Duchess of Richmond's Ball of 15-06-1815It appears no You Tuber has an inkling as to the pieces played at Her Grace's Ball ?Below is a cut & paste from an earlier video regarding this matter : -This footage comes from the very historically accurate "Waterloo." {Although there is the odd historical blemish, it is still highly factual} The question is what is the piece called as the Ladies & Officers Etc. danced the night away at The Duchess of Richmond's Ball ?I may say it myself, but one does feel a bit of an expert in the finery of Battle Tactics regarding Waterloo, but can not place this wonderful piece, I even asked on Talk Back Radio a number of years ago after playing it down the line, but alas no following callers knew, as for any other goings ons at Her Grace's Ball that night, one should not take as read certain accounts, although I would fancy they would not be too far from what went on. It is the outcome of The Battle that changed European & indeed World History that interests an old reprobate such as I Lol. But one would give anything to have been a lad at that Ball on that night....dancing the night away before battle, those were the days !

The patch I'm playing with is called Hard Ramp AS1&2. I made the background beat using FL Studio.PS. I've read some reviews of this vid as if I'm trying to be a "keytar" player (apparently not a desirable thing, but how can you not like Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein") and that I should just play a real guitar. LOL @ some of those same people who probably play guitar hero (nothing against it but hopefully you see my point)! The irony! The point is, folks, if you find a fun/inspiring sound to jam with, by all means, you should JAM WITH IT! I don't care if you find a $3.00 plastic trumpet. Don't worry about the technicalities and what people say. In the long run it's about the fun that YOU have making music.Thanks for watching!!!

The Twinwoods Mechanical Organ Festival is a weekend event held at the historic Twinwoods Airfield near Bedford (UK), also home of the Glenn Miller Museum. Organised by Bob West, the Twinwoods Arena comes alive to the sound of street and fairground organs during the festival, which also features crafts and other exhibits, and marks the closure of events at Twinwoods for the winter.For the 2007 show, the third year of this wonderful event, the Saturday night entertainment amongst this small and friendly gathering of enthusiasts comprised some informal performances of mechanical self-playing street organs and an impromptue accordion band inside the main hangar. After this, those of us still awake retired to the Officers' Mess Bar to continue the fun! The kind of band which, by their music extremely violent and their way of thinking it, is really out of the system. The movie shows a lot of live extract (really amazing) and in between, it's kind of "life on the road" things... but well made, not for stupid fans.For those who don't know Lightning Bolt's music, it is a two pieces band from Providence (USA), one guy is playing a very heavy bass while his friend playing the drums at a speed no one can really understand. The drummer also sing/scream in a little distorted mic that is in his mouth... quite strange. Between hardcore techno & noise music.But the thing that is really incredible in this movie is how people are reacting to the band playing live at their different venues. It could be in a kitchen, in front of twelve people, or in an ugly place with 300 people. In each case, EVERYONE is getting completely mad.When you will see this movie - and even if this kind of music is not really yours - i bet that the only thing that you will have in your head is to really see this band performing live.
