Yep, it's another one of those "tagged" videos! You get tagged, you make a video with 5 facts about yourself and tag 5 others...the chain continues! To my knowledge, I was tagged by the following people: LazyWorkCreations, Quadraxis14 and RE4lover, all cool people. I hope I didn't leave anybody out! So now I'm tagging (randomly and in no particular order) animelonewolf, chocobosoliddiegui, Livinglifex, Dragonheart999, and TheTNC420, also all cool people. Just got my laptop working again a few weeks ago thanks to my friend Andrew (THANK YOU!), and I just found out about this tag thing, so here it is! I hope it isn't too boring because I'm planning to put out my first (and last?) Q&A/FAQ video very soon to see how it goes. I'm getting started on a new video game review that I hope to have out ASAP! Just wanted to let everyone know I'm not dead, and I have no plans to stop! Thank you for watching! Track credits (track, then artist) are as follows: Opening track by me (myspace.com/destructure047), Zero Wing intro (obviously), hidden track on "Classixxx" by Bogdan Raczynski, "Trailer Music" Pizzicato 5 remix by 808 State, 3 tracks by me, Metroid intro, Kid Icarus underworld, "Sayonara Tsutara" by Bogdan Raczynski, "Untitled13" off of "Boku Mo Wakaran" by Bogdan Raczynski. Quote: "I knew virtually nothing about conventional music education, and didn't know how to teach singing. Above all, I knew nothing of what children's music was supposed to be. But the kids had a grasp of what they liked: emotion, drama, and making music as a group. Whether the results were good, bad, in tune or out was no big deal -- they had élan. This was not the way music was traditionally taught. But then I never liked conventional 'children's music,' which is condescending and ignores the reality of children's lives, which can be dark and scary. These children hated 'cute.' They cherished songs that evoked loneliness and sadness." - Hans Fenger, Langley music supervisor/arranger

When house and acid house come to england in late 80s ambitious promoters took the music to large temporary sites such as fields, handling up to 30, 000 people in a single illegal event, called a rave. Promoters like Sunrise, Energy, Biology, Fantasia and World Dance held massive events in defiance of the police and music industry. Unlike many nightclubs they were open to all ages and races. The press lead the general public to believe that the events were shaped solely by the consumption of ecstasy, but others pointed out the music was refreshing and intoxicating enough without consumption of drugs. The British tabloid press helped publicize the scene, generally portraying rave parties in a negative light, which tended to alarm institutions such as the government and the police. Many tunes became hits from these events such as "Everything Starts with a E" by the E-Zee Possee, "

Dionne Warwick's Love at First Sight, a 1977 album released on the Warner Brothers Label introduced the hauntingly beautiful and introspective Peter Larson / Josh Rubins tune "Since You Stayed Here," which was used in their 1985 off-Braodway play "Brownstone". The tune was one of several strong tunes on the album. With the release of this album, Dionne completed her contractual obligation to Warner Brothers Records. It is ironic that mega superstar Dionne, when she signed with Warner five years before for the largest contract ever given a female singer, had been named for the fourth year in a row the top female singer in several national polls. By the time Dionne finished her tenure at Warner Brothers, her recording career had stagnated and was virtually without hits with the exception of 1974's # 1 Then Came You, although she remained a popular television star and a huge concert draw throughout the world. Dionne Warwick was planning to quit the music industry entirely and use her music education skills to teach on the university level. Dionne had completed her Masters Degree from the Hartt College of Music and in 1989 she completed her studies at Hartt which led to a doctorate in Music Education. Dr. Dionne Warwick did a series of lectures on popular music in the 1990s at Harvard and several other Universities in the USA. In 1978, Clive Davis told Dionne "You may be ready to give up the music business, but the business is not ready to give you up." She would soon sign with Davis' Arista Records and would enjoy one of the biggest comebacks in the history of popular music.Bette Midler recorded a cover version of the tune in 1990.

Gold Medal for ExcellenceAudience Choice for Best Music Documentary2006 PARK CITY FILM MUSIC FESTIVALGOTTA SERVE SOMEBODY:THE GOSPEL SONGS OF BOB DYLANhttp://www.gottaservesomebody.comhttp://dylangospel.blogspot.com/The best African-American covers of Dylan songs since Jimi Hendrix. --International Herald Tribune"This DVD overflows with interest, and, more importantly, with music." -Michael Gray, author of The Bob Dylan Encyclopedia and Song & Dance Man III: The Art of Bob Dylan.Interviews with Dylan musicians: Jim Keltner, Spooner Oldham, Regina McCrary, Fred Tackett, Terry Young, Mona Lisa Young, and producer Jerry WexlerParticipating artists: Bob Dylan, Shirley Caesar, Chicago Mass Choir, Dottie Peoples, Aaron Neville, Sounds of Blackness, Helen Baylor, The Fairfield Four, Great Day Chorale, Arlethia Lindsey, Mighty Clouds of Joy, and Rance Allen.Commentary by: Paul Williams and Alan LightThis musical documentary premieres 1980 footage of Bob Dylan performing "When He Returns," the first archival performance released from this important era.Amazon.com Editorial ReviewGotta Serve Somebody - The Gospel Songs of Bob Dylan is all about redemption. That's apparent enough in the music, where the struggle between sin and salvation is inherent in the tunes that are interpreted here by a host of superb gospel artists. But in a larger sense, the very existence of this DVD (and the Grammy-nominated CD that preceded it in 2003) can be viewed as redemption for Dylan himself, who weathered another controversy and emerged, if not triumphant, then certainly vindicated. When he plugged in an electric guitar in 1965, he was labeled "Judas" by the folkie faithful; ironically, when he turned to Jesus some 15 years later, proclaiming himself born again and releasing Slow Train Coming and Saved, the outcry was even louder. But once again Dylan has the last laugh, as now, a quarter of a century after the fact, it's clear that the material on those recordings was his strongest not only since 1975's Blood on the Tracks but perhaps since his '60s heyday. The quality of the songs lies in what Jerry Wexler, co-producer of the two Dylan albums, describes as the "immaculate funk" of the music, and especially in the heartfelt simplicity (especially by Dylan standards) and emotional directness of the lyrics; clearly, that's what attracted great gospel singers like Shirley Caesar (singing "Gotta Serve Somebody," the most recognized song on the two Dylan albums), Dottie Peoples (a powerful version of the beautiful "I Believe in You"), the Mighty Clouds of Joy (a rockin', sanctified "Saved"), the Fairfield Four (the stirring, a cappella "Are You Ready"), and the angel-voiced Aaron Neville ("Saving Grace") to this project. We also get Dylan himself, performing "When He Returns" at a 1980 concert, along with an animated rendering of his original "Gotta Serve Somebody." Hallelujah, y'all. --Sam GrahamBob Dylan's Gospel songs, widely reviled when new, have steadily grown in stature and acceptance over the years. Here in the hands of Gospel greats, likely the folks best suited to do them, they come up stronger than ever. Strong recommendation. Much better and more gripping than I expected. -Sing Out!Directed by Michael B BorofskyEdited by Christine MitsogiorgakisJeffrey Gaskill Executive ProducerFeatured Performances:Every Grain of Sand (Arlethia Lindsey)When He Returns (Bob Dylan)Solid Rock (Sounds of Blackness)Gotta Serve Somebody (Shirley Caesar)I Believe In You (Dottie Peoples)Saving Grace (Aaron Neville)What Can I Do For You?
