6/1/07, Champlain Valley Fairgrounds: The Marlboro Man cannot hold a candle to the elite group of Air Cowboys that travel around the world flying balloons at various festivals and gatherings. After all, can the Marlboro Man float 4,000 feet in the air and land wherever the current takes him? These single-minded cowboys are obsessed with flight. From the first time they went up in a hot air balloon, they knew there was no other life for them.The Fourth Annual Vermont Balloon and Music Festival took place June 1-3, 2007. There was hot-air ballooning, family entertainment and carnival fun at Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction.The Festival features up to 40 colorful sport balloons and special-shaped balloons from across the region and country. I went up in a Press Balloon Flight early Friday morning. It was my first time and I was petrified. My pilot was Art Voltaire (I kid you not) Moller from Albuquerque New Mexico. Four of us spent 2 hours in a tiny wicker basket floating through VT wilderness, mountains and forests, losing all sense of direction. You don't know where you are landing when you go ballooning. The wind takes you where it pleases. You can only control your up and down. We landed in Willow Hill Farm in Milton and luckily, the farmer was nice enough to let us park there. The landing was bumpy and we had to sit in the balloon basket waiting for our ride to get there - the wind pulling and tugging at our still-aloft parachute.As scared as I am of heights, it was invigorating. Even if I did have this creepy sensation that I could have jumped out at any point and plummeted to my death. Maybe next time. The Twinwoods Mechanical Organ Festival is a weekend event held at the historic Twinwoods Airfield near Bedford (UK), also home of the Glenn Miller Museum. Organised by Bob West, the Twinwoods Arena comes alive to the sound of street and fairground organs during the festival, which also features crafts and other exhibits, and marks the closure of events at Twinwoods for the winter.For the 2007 show, the third year of this wonderful event, the Saturday night entertainment amongst this small and friendly gathering of enthusiasts comprised some informal performances of mechanical self-playing street organs and an impromptue accordion band inside the main hangar. After this, those of us still awake retired to the Officers' Mess Bar to continue the fun! Well, as the chief executive producer of H3llo!Proj3ct , he is quite competent on business management and marketing strategies in the entertainment industry. Nevertheless, I often doubted on his ability as a composer. Since he wrote most (if not all) the songs in Hell0!Proj3ct, inevitably some of his songs are, honestly speaking, quite lousy and thus the song's popularity is somewhat dependent on the artist's cuteness. Incredible video of the Late Great Hank Williams and His Son Bocephus (Hank Jr) A few years ago Hank was given this song in his Dad's folders, a song that was still in a demo stage. Hank liked it and mixed alittle of his style with his Dads and helped in producing this magical, award winning video!!!According to Wikpedia:"There's a Tear in My Beer", a duet with his father created using electronic dubbing techniques. The song itself was written by his father, presumably, sometime between 1950 and 1953 and was recorded with Hank Williams playing just his guitar. The music video for the song combined existing television footage of Hank Williams performing and the dubbing techniques transferred the image of Hank Jr. onto the screen, so it appeared as if he were actually playing with his father. The video was an overwhelming success, both critically and commercially. It was named Video Of The Year by both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country music.
