Earl's Court, London: 20 February 2008.What a night for fans of British music. Dozens of top artists filed past on the red carpet outside Earls Court on yet another freezing day. Quite a challenge for fans too. There were few good shooting positions and plenty of competition for them. Some of my regular fan-mates couldn't run fast enough to get a good spot when the gates opened. It was bedlam. One girl fell in front of me and it seemed unseemly to step over her and my prime place was gone. Fortunately security made sure unaccredited media were chucked out, leaving me with an OK spot on the barricade. Things have a habit of working themselves out. Lots of kids and their parents in the crowd that all added to the atmosphere -- it's half term btw. Plenty screaming from them, it seems they love all the stars and aren't self conscious about saying it loud. Listen to the sound if you need confirmation. Seemed odd to hear primary school kids discussing rehab, and not the song! Plenty of opportunity for the autograph folk, though many of the biggest names snuck in around the back to avoid the hubbub.Celebs and artists spotted...Matt WillisKyser ChiefsAdeleBeth DittoOne Night OnlyLeona LewisWill YoungNancy and Vic ReevesMikaMark RonsonRihannaShane WardThe HoossiersBen MillerAlan CarrLamarDavina McCallSean LennonK T TunstallArtic MonkeysCatherine JenkinsOzzy, Sharon OsbourneKate NashAlesha DixonKelly RowlandKimberley WalshSarah HardingJames BluntTess DalyVernon KayTake ThatAs usual, please let me know about errors, omissions and your comments. imdb review by enorme75:The Power Of Salad is really a great movie. It teaches you what is the life of a really underground music band. The kind of band which, by their music extremely violent and their way of thinking it, is really out of the system. The movie shows a lot of live extract (really amazing) and in between, it's kind of "life on the road" things... but well made, not for stupid fans. For those who don't know Lightning Bolt's music, it is a two pieces band from Providence (USA), one guy is playing a very heavy bass while his friend playing the drums at a speed no one can really understand. The drummer also sing/scream in a little distorted mic that is in his mouth... quite strange. Between hardcore techno & noise music. But the thing that is really incredible in this movie is how people are reacting to the band playing live at their different venues. It could be in a kitchen, in front of twelve people, or in an ugly place with 300 people. In each case, EVERYONE is getting completely mad. When you will see this movie - and even if this kind of music is not really yours - i bet that the only thing that you will have in your head is to really see this band performing live. Perhaps because they're only in it for... the music.----buy the real thing from http://loadrecords.com/salad.htmlhttp://www.amazon.com/Lightning-Bolt-Power-Brian-Chippendale/dp/B00006ADFFif you buy it you get wacked out animations and good in sync video

This video is a benchmark test to see if it will pass the Zappa Family Trust censorship. Why did they censor all those beautifully creative Zappa videos that fans have created. Certainly not for profit. We can't make a profit or a bootleg out of a youtube video due to the bad quality of mono sound and visuals. Quite the opposite, we advertise Frank Zappa's fantastic music and encourage others to purchase his music. I have spent a small fortune on Frank's work and now I get censored. I understand the law etc... but for f***'s sake, hasn't Gail and the Zappa family have enough money??? I guess not, when it comes to greed. What would Frank say knowing these videos on youtube advertise his music to a younger generation worldwide??Do I have to give Gail some money for having King Kong as my mobile ringtone?Frank Zappa ~ "I resent encroachment on the 1st amendment because I'm a constitution fundamentalist"
Hope Gail doesn't censor...

Rare MTV news clip that aired in 1996 the day that Tupac was pronounced dead. Chronicles 2Pac's hip-hop career: a strange, terrible and beautiful saga. 2Pac is the greatest of all time... Rest in peace Tupac Amaru Shakur - you are missed.Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 -- September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names: 2Pac, Makaveli, or simply Pac, was an American artist renowned for his rap music, movie roles, poetry, and his social activism. He is recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records as the best selling hip-hop artist, with over seventy-five million albums sold worldwide including over fifty million in the United States alone. Most of Shakur's songs are about growing up around violence and hardship in ghettos, racism, problems in society, and sometimes qualms with other fellow rappers. Shakur's work is known for advocating political, economic, social, and racial equality as well as his raw descriptions of violence, drug and alcohol abuse, and conflicts with the law. Many fans, critics, and industry insiders rank him as the greatest rapper ever.In 1990, Shakur was a roadie and backup dancer for the alternative rap group Digital Underground. Shakur's debut album, 2Pacalypse Now, gained critical recognition and backlash for its controversial lyrics. Shakur became the target of lawsuits and experienced other legal problems. Later, Shakur was shot five times in a recording studio lobby in Manhattan and was robbed. Following the incident, Shakur grew suspicious that other figures in the rap industry had prior knowledge of the shooting and did not warn him; the controversy would help spark the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry. After serving eleven months of his sentence, Shakur was released from prison on an appeal financed by Marion "Suge" Knight, the CEO of Death Row Records. In exchange for Suge's assistance, Shakur agreed to release three records under the Death Row label. Shakur's fifth album, the first double-disc release in hip hop history All Eyez on Me, counted as two albums. On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, and died six days later of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest at University Medical Center, Las Vegas.Shakur's work has influenced many modern rap artists. Eminem, Nas, Lloyd Banks, Rick Ross, Ja Rule, The Game, and 50 Cent all acknowledge his influence on their work. The likes of Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Pharrell, Ghostface Killa, Lil' Scrappy, DMX, Lil' Jon, Mary J. Blige, Juvenile, Outkast, Jermaine Dupri, WC, Sean Paul, Ice Cube, Missy Elliot, Mike Tyson and Nelly have all named songs by Shakur that they personally enjoyed.Studio albums1991: 2Pacalypse Now 1993: Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. 1994: Thug Life: Volume 1 1995: Me Against the World 1996: All Eyez on Me 1996: The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day TheoryPosthumous studio albums1997: R U Still Down? It's from the essay, "Black Or White, The Gloved One Is Not A Chump"."...It's doubtful if the most devoted Jackson fans were prepared for the coda's display of complex, raw anger. On the sound stage where the morphing sequence was shot, a panther stalks the set unnoticed by the technicians, and wanders off to a dark, misty city-street set, where the panther transforms into Jackson. Dressed in black, with white socks and arm brace, plus a black fedora, Jackson turns his early eighties robotic break moves into Kewpie doll spasms that are jerky, tense (his joints seem to have 360-degree hinges) and finally sensual.""This is a film noir version of Gene Kelly's famous Singin' In The Rain number, and Jackson's subversion of that cheerful archetype surely disturbed most people's notion of what show business is all about...""...fondling his groin and pinching his nipple, Jackson goes past exhibitionism into artfully rendered obsessiveness, for anyone who had him pigeonholed as a harmless eunuch, his coda says, 'Not so fast! I'm an adult, I got a dick! And I'm angry,' ""The coda's most amazing semiotic moment is a close shot of Jackson slowly zipping up his fly. The invisible penis is what's called a 'structuring absence' - - the drive of the entire video represents the thrust of his ego..."The City Sun.
