The Woodstock Music and Art Fair was a historic event held at Max Yasgur's 600 acre dairy farm in the rural town of Bethel, New York from August 15 to August 18, 1969.To many, the festival exemplified the counterculture of the 1960s and the 'hippie era'. Thirty-two of the best-known musicians of the day appeared during the sometimes rainy weekend. Although attempts have been made over the years to recreate the festival, the original event has proven to be unique and legendary. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest moments in music history and was listed on Rolling Stone's 50 Moments That Changed the History of Rock and Roll. The event was captured in a successful 1970 documentary, Woodstock (subtitled '3 Days of Peace & Music'), directed by Michael Wadleigh.Part 9.Sunday, August 17 to Monday, August 18. English rock/blues singer Joe Cocker was the first act on the last officially booked day; he opened up the day's events at 2PM. His set was preceded by at least two unidentified instrumentals by The Grease Band. Cocker's last song was a cover of 'With a Little Help from My Friends' by The Beatles from their 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.__________________________________With a Little Help from My FriendsWhat would do think if I sang out of tune,Would you stand up and walk out on me.Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song,And I'll try not to sing out of key.Oh I get by with a little help from my friends,He gets high with a little help from his friends,Oh I'm gonna try with a little help from my friends. What do I do when my love is away.(Does it worry you to be alone)How do I feel by the end of the day(Are you sad because you're on your own)No, I get by with a little help from my friends,Mmm I get high with a little help from my friends,Mmm I'm gonna to try with a little help from my friendsDo you need anybody?I need somebody to love.Could it be anybody?I want somebody to love.Would you believe in a love at first sight?Yes I'm certain that it happens all the time. What do you see when you turn out the light?I can't tell you, but I know it's mine.Oh I get by with a little help from my friends,Mmm I get high with a little help from my friends,Oh I'm gonna try with a little help from my friendsDo you need anybody?I need someone to love.Could it be anybody?I want somebody to loveOh... If you'd like a copy of this vid in full quality you can download it from "the org". Those of you who go to that site know what I'm talking about. (I prefer not to give out the URL cause it draws attention to the site and I'd like to avoid any more music companies coming down on AMVs) If you don't have an account there feel free to PM me and I'll give you a link to the local download. There's a lipsynch-free version also on my account. If the lipsynch bugs you at all please check out the other one. ^_^This vid drove me insane. That said. Let's move on.Song:Move AlongArtist: All American RejectsAnime: Naruto, Inu Yasha, Mai Hime, Ah! My Goddess, Full Metal Alchemist, Shakugan No Shana, and Bleach.Completion time: 2 monthsTotal actual editing time: 1 weekPrograms used: Adobe Premiere 6.5 and PhotoshopAwards won: Anime Boston 2008- Best Fun/Upbeat/Other. THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!! ^_^/I had to cut the song down to 3:37--but I'm happy with the end result. Concept: I wanted a vid to make people happy and to tell them to never give up. I also used it to pimp a few series that I love but aren't among the "popular" series list. Especially Shakugan No Shana (The clips with the girl with red hair, although it's brown in her disguise). Shana is one of the best series I've seen in a while. The action is fantastic and the main fighter is a girl! Not only that, but she is a great sword user and she DOESN'T have gigantic boobs!!!This vid is the first to use my new studio bumper. I decided I needed something more serious and grownup. Please tell me what you think. ;) I hope you guys enjoy this vid. And please review. Even if the review is short, it still makes me happy.Omg! I got an honor! My first one. Yay!Honors for This Video:#72 - Top Favorites (This Month) - Film & AnimationPS- Please don't post this vid on your own account. I'm glad ppl like my stuff but I'm very tired of it being stolen THIS VIDEO IS PURELY FAN-MADE AND IS IN NO WAY ASSOCIATED WITH THE MUSICAL ARTIST OR ANIME COMPANY IN ANY WAY

Okay. I have nothing against Canada. This song is just suposed to be FUNNY. If you don't find it funny, don't watch it. I don't care how great you think Canada is, you don't need to post comments about it. I only want comments from people that like my videos, or are giving me CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. From now on any comments from people telling me that they like canada, or some random facts about canada that I don't care about, is just going to get their comment deleted.THIS VIDEO IS PURELY FAN-MADE AND IS IN NO WAY ASSOCIATED WITH THE MUSICAL ARTIST OR ANIME COMPANY IN ANY WAY.

Earl's Court, London: 20 February 2008.What a night for fans of British music. Dozens of top artists filed past on the red carpet outside Earls Court on yet another freezing day. Quite a challenge for fans too. There were few good shooting positions and plenty of competition for them. Some of my regular fan-mates couldn't run fast enough to get a good spot when the gates opened. It was bedlam. One girl fell in front of me and it seemed unseemly to step over her and my prime place was gone. Fortunately security made sure unaccredited media were chucked out, leaving me with an OK spot on the barricade. Things have a habit of working themselves out. Lots of kids and their parents in the crowd that all added to the atmosphere -- it's half term btw. Plenty screaming from them, it seems they love all the stars and aren't self conscious about saying it loud. Listen to the sound if you need confirmation. Seemed odd to hear primary school kids discussing rehab, and not the song! Plenty of opportunity for the autograph folk, though many of the biggest names snuck in around the back to avoid the hubbub.Celebs and artists spotted...Matt WillisKyser ChiefsAdeleBeth DittoOne Night OnlyLeona LewisWill YoungNancy and Vic ReevesMikaMark RonsonRihannaShane WardThe HoossiersBen MillerAlan CarrLamarDavina McCallSean LennonK T TunstallArtic MonkeysCatherine JenkinsOzzy, Sharon OsbourneKate NashAlesha DixonKelly RowlandKimberley WalshSarah HardingJames BluntTess DalyVernon KayTake ThatAs usual, please let me know about errors, omissions and your comments. In this interview the Jordanian singer Ruba Saqr speaks about the impact of music censorship -- and in particular: artists' self-censorship -- in the Middle East. She connects the music censorship issue with development problems in society in general -- in Jordan as well as in the rest of the Middle East. The interview was made by Freemuse for http://www.freemuse.org

Assistance is also provided to students with music related expenses through grants, fundraisers and silent auctions that aid in developing, displaying and nurturing young artistic talents. The Punch Family Foundation is an organization that seeks to open a window of opportunity for under-represented children through music and music education. "We want to put an instrument in a child's life, teach, train and prepare them for an advance music education", offering an orchestra experience that nurtures music students. DONATE, JOIN OUR BOARD, PURCHASE AN AD IN OUR BROCHURE, DONATE FOR OUR SILENT AUCTION, ATTEND OUR EVENTS.THE FOLLOWING IS THE STORY OF OUR RECIPIENTS AND PRESENT NEEDS::FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (HELP BUILD A LEGACY):Punch Family Foundation:Making a Difference One Note at a Time When Georgiana Howard was selected to attend a summer chamber music program in Europe, she knew the cost would be a potential barrier. She also knew she could gain support from her mentor Mary Griffin and from the Punch Family Foundation (PFF).Stamos Martin, like Georgiana, was a Booker T. Washington high school student, and while he was excited about his acceptance to the Aspen Music Festival, he knew the $7,000 price tag would be a major hurdle. He called upon a small support team that included Gayle Punch of the Punch Family Foundation.Georgiana is now a sophomore student at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and aspires to attend the Harlaxton Music Festival (HMF) in Harlaxton, England. The $4,000 tuition does not include an additional $800 for airfare. On her own, Georgiana has managed to save $1,000 towards this trip. Unfortunately, the HMF offers no scholarships. Georgiana, a violist, is a sophomore music business major and former student of the Young Strings Program of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.Stamos and Georgiana each received $1,000 scholarships from the PFF to help with their music education -- scholarships they both attest have made all the difference in their access and entry to these institutions. The experience of having a musician pursue a goal of being in a symphony orchestra taught PFF founder, Gayle Punch, many lessons. The greatest was the importance of giving back. In 2006, the Foundation was able to give a $1,000 to Byron Martin who now studies the viola and music composition at an Oklahoma College. This year's challenge is to raise funds to assist music students like Stamos and Georgiana reach their potential. While most music programs offer scholarships, there are often additional costs which are not covered. These additional costs are often the prime roadblocks to economically limited minority students."It's important to help as many music students as possible if we are to see diversity in the orchestral programs across America," says Richmond Punch. Richmond is a violist and violinist who donates proceeds from all CD sales to the foundation (these can be purchased at the foundation website). He also donates his services to the annual benefit recital.Contact: richmond@richmondpunch.comAlso read the event I created with the location info and more specifics. Thanks!!
