If you'd like a copy of this vid in full quality you can download it from "the org". Those of you who go to that site know what I'm talking about. (I prefer not to give out the URL cause it draws attention to the site and I'd like to avoid any more music companies coming down on AMVs) If you don't have an account there feel free to PM me and I'll give you a link to the local download. There's a lipsynch-free version also on my account. If the lipsynch bugs you at all please check out the other one. ^_^This vid drove me insane. That said. I also used it to pimp a few series that I love but aren't among the "popular" series list. Especially Shakugan No Shana (The clips with the girl with red hair, although it's brown in her disguise). Shana is one of the best series I've seen in a while. The action is fantastic and the main fighter is a girl! Not only that, but she is a great sword user and she DOESN'T have gigantic boobs!!!This vid is the first to use my new studio bumper. I decided I needed something more serious and grownup. Please tell me what you think. ;) I hope you guys enjoy this vid. And please review. Even if the review is short, it still makes me happy.Omg! I got an honor! My first one. My sister had to do a video singing lesson for her music class, so I helped her out.Niki is a pianist, a singer, and a guitarist and is a member of a band called "George Loves Horses", and another called "The Jeffs", in both of which she is a vocalist. She is a student of popular music and an avid fan of the musical works of the 1960s and the classical period. In 2004 she was the sole winner of an "award for excellence" presented to her for her singing.Niki is also an actor; having starred in and directed her own surrealist thriller "It's All in Your Mind" and many other short films and theatre productions.Hear Niki's band at:http://www.myspace.com/georgeloveshorses

Go to http://www.panonthenet.com/classics/pan_rebels.htm for the full performance of this selection - "In My House" - as arranged by Len 'Boogsie' Sharpe. In the late 80's a group of young, innovative, progressive, talented and rebellious steelpan musicians known as Pan Rebels left their mark on New York pan as no other has. In many respects Pan Rebels' birth signalled the dawning of the new and current age in the New York pan music continuum. Pan In New York was going to become primarily a youth movement. New ideas, interest and people would become critical components of the New York pan scene. And Pan Rebels was always at the forefront - trying new things although they are not always the ones who received the credit when it became popular. It is not surprising that Pan Rebels started the now-famous New York J'Ouvert celebrations.Simultaneously, a young group of New York electrical and broadcasting engineers known as Basement Recordings were also experimenting and working closely with Yamaha Corporation of America - who recognized their brilliance immediately - to fine tune its digital recording technology. Yamaha provided Basement Recordings with one of it's then-unreleased 24-bit digital recorders to test and make recommendations. The unit was then known as the DMR8 which would become the corner stone on which all future Yamaha digital recordings technology would be based. As faith or luck would have it, many of the engineers at Basement Recordings were also pan musicians. Even before the introduction of the DMR8, Basement Recordings was light years ahead of any other group or production team in terms of producing quality steelband recordings. Since the mid-80's they had already developed a technique they label as the 'box and one' specifically for the steel orchestra. It received rave reviews and write ups in many of the broadcasting and professional audio journals. Now armed with this digital recording goliath - that was in many ways way ahead of its time - Basement now had the tools to capture the full dynamic range of the steel orchestra without compromise. Moreover they were committed to producing outstanding recordings that could stand next to any great music productions regardless of genre - and showcase the greatness of the 'Boogsies' and 'Bradleys,' with any of their contemporaries. In Pan Rebels - Basement Recordings found kindred sprits - young musicians who were not tied to conventionality - furthermore they were not afraid of the presence of technology. Add the great Len "Boogsie" Sharpe, the ultimate unconventional arranger and what you got was magic. Basement Recordings always looked forward to recording Pan Rebels steel orchestra. They were young people; they understood the power and importance of recording and immortalizing their music works/material. As a matter of fact the band's management viewed Basement's recording them as a critical part of their panorama season. World-renowned arranger Len 'Boogsie' Sharpe was perfect as he supported, encouraged and understood what Basement and Pan Rebels were undertaking. Interestingly enough Basement's and Len 'Boogsie' Sharpe's paths would cross many times in other professional arenas in the future - of particular note would be their coming together with legendary master drummer Max Roach on future recording projects. The Pan Rebels - Basement Recordings collaborations produced many recording gems that featured prominent arrangers like Garvin Blake and Pelham Goddard in addition to Len 'Boogsie' Sharpe. Even though the orchestra has been inactive since 2002 - with their musical works and contributions to the New York Steelband music scene, while spearheaded by the dynamic trio of Anthony 'Pra' Trebuse, Gary Rogers and Michelle Williams - Pan Rebels remains a New York steelband fixture.

M0rn1ng Mu5um3's SEXY BOY S0y0k4ze ni Yo1is0tt3, composed by T5unku, on acoustic guitar. After close inspection of this song, my view toward T5unku on his musical composition ability is changed. Well, as the chief executive producer of H3llo!Proj3ct , he is quite competent on business management and marketing strategies in the entertainment industry. Nevertheless, I often doubted on his ability as a composer. Since he wrote most (if not all) the songs in Hell0!Proj3ct, inevitably some of his songs are, honestly speaking, quite lousy and thus the song's popularity is somewhat dependent on the artist's cuteness. On the other hand, I do occasionally found his other compositions ineffably well written. Just like this one.ScoreThis is my transcription, the score is yet to be written.

Lagbaja is a Yoruba word that means somebody, nobody, anybody or everybody. It perfectly depicts the anonymity of the so called "common man". The mask and the name symbolize the faceless, the voiceless in the society, particularly in Africa. Once you see Lagbaja's mask you are reminded of your own facelessness. This symbolism is so powerful that Lagbaja's mask has popularized the use of the mask concept by other artistes both in Nigeria and beyond.Though the concept was developed long before that, his first album (entitled Lagbaja) was released to National acclaim in 1993. Over the years and more albums later, the music continues to fascinate with its unique focus on a core of African drums. His music is a product of various influences ranging from traditional Yoruba music to Jazz. Often the music is purely instrumental- an interplay between traditional Yoruba percussions, drums, chants, and western instruments, especially the saxophone. When there are lyrics, they are primarily sung in Yoruba, English or a blend of the two as is colloquially spoken in Yoruba cities. Many of his songs dwell on serious social issues, while others simply entertain. Some are dance inducing while others pass serious messages in humourous ways. One thing that links all the songs together is his use of traditional African drums. Traditional Yoruba drums are the most prominent. Four families of these drums are employed in creating different grooves and moods. The dundun/gangan family is the most prominent and at times up to five drummers combine all the various components to create the polyrhythms. The bata ensemble is led by two musicians who alternate between soft high toned driving rhythms with their omele bata, and thunderous loud talk with their mum drum- iya ilu. The general percussionist leads the sakara ensemble. The fourth family, used as the backbone of the groove is the ogido, a derivative of the ancient gbedu. The ensemble of drummers constitute the larger part of the band. Vocalists and western instrumentalists make up the rest. Lagbaja's groovy fusion has been refered to as afrojazz, afrobeat, higherlife and afropop until now that he himself has christened the music AFRICANO, alluding mostly to the central role of African drums and grooves in his music. In March 1997, Lagbaja established his club, Motherlan' in the heart of Ikeja in Lagos. Motherlan's design is influenced by the traditional African town or market square, where people gather under the moonlight for ceremonies and artistic events like dance, music, story telling, wrestling etc. True to this function, over the years, it has become a place for many comedians to polish their act in front of a demanding audience. With a serene gorge of beautiful trees and greens as background, the venue merges traditional Africa with the contemporary, creating the ambience of the countryside in the urban city. Lagbaja performs at Motherlan' every last Friday of the month to a full house of faithfuls. Lagbaja is fast emerging in the forefront of contemporary African music, rich in the traditions of the continent while cosmopolitan in attitude. He has started to take his music beyond the shores of Nigeria, performing in festivals and venues around the world.Lagbaja is out now on Blue Pie for the world. You can find out more on Lagbaja by visiting www.bluepie.com.au or by searching "lagbaja" at all leading digital retailers on the planet.

Kylie Ann Minogue [born May 28th 1968 in Melbourne, Australia] is a Brit and Grammy award-winning Australian pop singer-songwriter and actress. Minogue rose to prominence in the late 1980s through her role in the Australian television soap opera Neighbours, before she commenced her career as a pop artist in the late '80s. Signed to a contract by British songwriters and producers Stock, Aitken and Waterman in 1988, she achieved a string of hit records throughout the world. Her popularity began to decline during the early 1990s, leading her to part company from Stock, Aitken and Waterman in 1992. During the mid to late 90s, Minogue distanced herself from her earlier work and attempted to establish herself as a credible and independent performer and songwriter. Her projects were widely publicised, but her albums failed to attract a substantial audience and resulted in the lowest sales of her career to date. She returned to popularity as a dance--pop artist in 2000, and became well-known for her provocative music videos and expensively mounted stage shows. Minogue has established one of the longest and most successful careers as a performer in contemporary pop music, and in Europe and Australia, she has become one of her generation's most recognisable celebrities and sex symbols. In Australia, after being dismissed early in her career by some critics, she has been acclaimed for her achievements. According to Warner Music Australia, Minogue has sold over 40 million records worldwide.

Dionne Warwick's Love at First Sight, a 1977 album released on the Warner Brothers Label introduced the hauntingly beautiful and introspective Peter Larson / Josh Rubins tune "Since You Stayed Here," which was used in their 1985 off-Braodway play "Brownstone". The tune was one of several strong tunes on the album. With the release of this album, Dionne completed her contractual obligation to Warner Brothers Records. It is ironic that mega superstar Dionne, when she signed with Warner five years before for the largest contract ever given a female singer, had been named for the fourth year in a row the top female singer in several national polls. By the time Dionne finished her tenure at Warner Brothers, her recording career had stagnated and was virtually without hits with the exception of 1974's # 1 Then Came You, although she remained a popular television star and a huge concert draw throughout the world. Dionne Warwick was planning to quit the music industry entirely and use her music education skills to teach on the university level. Dionne had completed her Masters Degree from the Hartt College of Music and in 1989 she completed her studies at Hartt which led to a doctorate in Music Education. Dr. Dionne Warwick did a series of lectures on popular music in the 1990s at Harvard and several other Universities in the USA. In 1978, Clive Davis told Dionne "You may be ready to give up the music business, but the business is not ready to give you up." She would soon sign with Davis' Arista Records and would enjoy one of the biggest comebacks in the history of popular music.Bette Midler recorded a cover version of the tune in 1990.
