She also knew she could gain support from her mentor Mary Griffin and from the Punch Family Foundation (PFF).Stamos Martin, like Georgiana, was a Booker T. Washington high school student, and while he was excited about his acceptance to the Aspen Music Festival, he knew the $7,000 price tag would be a major hurdle. He called upon a small support team that included Gayle Punch of the Punch Family Foundation.Georgiana is now a sophomore student at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and aspires to attend the Harlaxton Music Festival (HMF) in Harlaxton, England. The $4,000 tuition does not include an additional $800 for airfare. On her own, Georgiana has managed to save $1,000 towards this trip. Unfortunately, the HMF offers no scholarships. Georgiana, a violist, is a sophomore music business major and former student of the Young Strings Program of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.Stamos and Georgiana each received $1,000 scholarships from the PFF to help with their music education -- scholarships they both attest have made all the difference in their access and entry to these institutions. The experience of having a musician pursue a goal of being in a symphony orchestra taught PFF founder, Gayle Punch, many lessons. The greatest was the importance of giving back. In 2006, the Foundation was able to give a $1,000 to Byron Martin who now studies the viola and music composition at an Oklahoma College. This year's challenge is to raise funds to assist music students like Stamos and Georgiana reach their potential. While most music programs offer scholarships, there are often additional costs which are not covered. These additional costs are often the prime roadblocks to economically limited minority students."It's important to help as many music students as possible if we are to see diversity in the orchestral programs across America," says Richmond Punch. Richmond is a violist and violinist who donates proceeds from all CD sales to the foundation (these can be purchased at the foundation website). He also donates his services to the annual benefit recital.Contact: richmond@richmondpunch.comAlso read the event I created with the location info and more specifics. Thanks!!

This video is a benchmark test to see if it will pass the Zappa Family Trust censorship. Why did they censor all those beautifully creative Zappa videos that fans have created. Certainly not for profit. We can't make a profit or a bootleg out of a youtube video due to the bad quality of mono sound and visuals. Quite the opposite, we advertise Frank Zappa's fantastic music and encourage others to purchase his music. I have spent a small fortune on Frank's work and now I get censored. I understand the law etc... but for f***'s sake, hasn't Gail and the Zappa family have enough money??? I guess not, when it comes to greed. What would Frank say knowing these videos on youtube advertise his music to a younger generation worldwide??Do I have to give Gail some money for having King Kong as my mobile ringtone?Frank Zappa ~ "I resent encroachment on the 1st amendment because I'm a constitution fundamentalist"
Hope Gail doesn't censor...

Frederick Hohman plays Tu es Petra (Thou Art the Rock) from the Byzantine Sketches of Henri Mulet upon the Great Organ of Methuen Memorial Music Hall, in Methuen Massachusetts USA. This is an excerpt from a concert given on 29 September 1996. The complete 30-minute program is one episode from the Midnight Pipes tv series. The DVD product of this is item # MP 9021 DVD, and may be acquired from many sources, including http://www.zarex.com/bin .Frederick Hohman also has a CD from Methuen on the PRO ORGANO label, entitled "Forever Methuen." Details may be accessed by entering "7066" in the Search Box at http://www.zarex.com/bin .Methuen Memorial Music Hall is operated and maintained by a not-for-profit corporation. Music events occur at the hall year-round, but especially well-known are the summer series of Organ Concerts on Wednesday evenings. This video is from one of the rarer, Sunday afternoon organ concerts. There is a history and an interesting story behind the organ at Methuen. Originally a Walcker organ from Germany from the mid-19th-century, it was first installed as the organ at Boston Music Hall, and it was the first concert hall organ in the United States. In the early 20th-century this hall was constructed in what was then a rural suburb of Boston, and the organ was relocated and housed at Methuen Memorial Music Hall ever since. The organ was updated and enlarged by Aeolian-Skinner, and in recent years, additional updates and fine maintenance make it function today as a fully modern concert pipe organ. As you will see from the video, the organ at Methuen has one of the most impressive organ cases in the world, and the decorative appointments of the hall interior are noteworthy. For more details on the organ and hall, contact: http://www.mmmh.org .Frederick Hohman is returning to Methuen in September, 2008 to play another organ concert. Hohman's website is: http://www.frederickhohman.net

Incredible video of the Late Great Hank Williams and His Son Bocephus (Hank Jr) A few years ago Hank was given this song in his Dad's folders, a song that was still in a demo stage. Hank liked it and mixed alittle of his style with his Dads and helped in producing this magical, award winning video!!!According to Wikpedia:"There's a Tear in My Beer", a duet with his father created using electronic dubbing techniques. The song itself was written by his father, presumably, sometime between 1950 and 1953 and was recorded with Hank Williams playing just his guitar. The music video for the song combined existing television footage of Hank Williams performing and the dubbing techniques transferred the image of Hank Jr. onto the screen, so it appeared as if he were actually playing with his father. The video was an overwhelming success, both critically and commercially. It was named Video Of The Year by both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country music. Hank Williams, Jr. would go on to win a Grammy award in 1990 for Best Country Vocal Collaboration.___________________Thanks go to ritchey65 for the following info:Hank Sr. recorded this song as a demo on an acetate disc for country performer Big Bill Lister and gave it to him around 1950. It lay forgotten and unknown until Lister's son found it in 1988.He gave it to Hank Jr, who recorded his own version and mixed it with the Hank Sr. version. The Lyrics, Video, Audio, are the property of the respective authors, artists and labels, the video provided for educational and Artist promotional purposes only , If you like the song, please help support Elvis Presley's music by purchasing his CD's wherever they are legally for sale..Rhodescabbin claims no ownership rights to this Video/Audio. Elvis Presley, sings If I can dream, a song with a dream of hope. This song has powerful lyrics and Raw Emotion Vocals that are awe inspiring!!!Elvis is still The King Of Rock N Roll 30 years after his death!!! Elvis will always be the King. From the very moment I heard on that hot August day in 1977 that Elvis was dead I have had an idea in my head to pay tribute to his many achievements.Elvis was so much more that a singer, he was a living Legend.Elvis: He dreamed, and he achieved!!! Sun Studios, Memphis 1954,Elvis Presley n Johnny Cash meet in this small studio at the same time, and Both become Legends!!!Elvis Presley is the primary focus, yet I had to include Johnny as I find it amazing that these two showed up at the same place, same time...Johnny overcame his addictions,BUT as he pointed out many times, only the love of June Carter Cash and her determination to see him thru, saved him from drugs. I wish Elvis could have had the same Rock in his life. One friend said something that was food for thought-Could you ever imagine an old Elvis??? I know Elvis thought of it a lot and the drugs were clouding his judgment. Its always hard to watch his last concert knowing his heart was agonized over the Memphis Mafia writing that horrible book about him, and seeing his failing health.RIP Elvis!!!The Lyrics, Video, Audio, are the property of the respective authors, artists and labels, the video provided for educational and Artist promotional purposes only , If you like the song, please help support Elvis Presley's music by purchasing his CD's wherever they are legally for sale..Rhodescabbin claims no ownership rights to this Video/Audio.
